Hard to be surprised. Karl Rove and MDE are political operatives right out of the same mold. They've both risen through the Republican ranks with slimy, sleazy politics where the only objective is disgusting your own voters just a little less than you disgust the opposition's. To them, winning is the only thing, even when it comes at the cost of the greater good.
